Modesty bit the dust last Saturday and I'm still grinning from ear to ear. Luck & perserverence paid off when I ducked into a retailer & found a Centennial Edition M1911 tucked away in a corner of a display case. The Centennial is truly a work of art and looks as great in real life as it does in any published photo. The detail is truly remarkable; Kimber did itself proud. With numerous 100th anniversary 1911 models available, please don't hesitate to at least give Kimber's Centennial Edition 1911 serious consideration if you're fortunate enough to still find one. All 250 were apparently spoken for within 15 seconds of Kimber's releasing this beautiful specimen and now I know why. If you're still in the hunt, don't give up on your search.
