Kimber has been backed up with production for quite some time now. We’ve seen deliveries taking as long as 8 to 10 months for standard models and well over a year for more custom models (Rimfire Super and Eclipse Custom 10mm).
We’re finally seeing a lot of models that were ordered back during the first week of February. Today we’ve got the Super Carry Ultra HD in stock.
The Super Carry Ultra HD was introduced in January of 2011 as a variation on the 2010 Super Carry Ultra. The prior model is two tone and has an alloy frame while the HD version is all black and has a stainless steel frame.
The Super Carry Ultra HD has night sights (with a cocking shoulder), front strap checkering, a stainless steel frame, G-10 grips, and a KimPro II coating on the slide and frame.
After quite a dry spell, we’ve finally received a shipment containing the Kimber Rimfire Super. We haven’t seen a shipment with these since August of 2010! Kimber has been very backed up with .22 LR, 10mm, and .38 Super models (in addition to the Solos) and currently new orders are delayed by about 6 to 8 months!

We just received a batch of new pistols from Kimber – a 1911 Pro Carry II and Ultra Carry II with Slatewood Crimson Trace lasergrips and 3-dot contrast sights.
These pistols are not cataloged on Kimber’s website or in the 2011 catalog but they are configured by the factory – not an in-house customization.

Crimson Trace just started a new promotion for their laser grips. I believe this is the first time that Crimson Trace has run a mail in rebate…
The rebate is for $50 and is valid on purchases between April 2, 2011 and June 30, 2011. There does not seem to be a limit per household but each rebate must be sent in individually. The rebate is only applicable to individual laser purchases. You can’t use it for a laser that you bought on a gun.
Right now we are running a sale on the black LG-401 laser grip for full size 1911’s. This grip is on sale for $229 and after the rebate, you’re at $179…

Back in the late fall (2010) we started ordering Kimber 1911’s in .38 Super and 10mm. Up to that time we had only been stocking 9mm and .45 ACP. The demand is definitely there for 10mm models though and very few dealers carry this caliber.
We just received a shipment of Eclipse Custom II’s chambered in 10mm. We’ve got the pistol in our store with detailed photos and specs.
Kimber currently only produces two different 10mm 1911’s – the Stainless Target II 10mm (model # 3200107) and Eclipse Custom II 10mm (model # 3200122). Additionally, both of these pistols are actually legal to own in California.
California has a rather restrictive list of approved handguns and Kimber has not been submitting new models to the state for approval. Surprisingly, there is only one 9mm pistol approved for California.
After a full year of waiting, Kimber has finally shipped us our first Centennial 1911 model . The Centennial has Doug Turnbull colored case hardening on the frame as well as engraving on the slide. The photos below show the exact model available in great detail. This model is available for $4299 with free shipping and handling. We may see a second Centennial in the upcoming weeks but that isn’t a guarantee. There were only 250 Centennial’s produced so don’t miss your chance to grab one of these!

After quite a drought, Kimber finally shipped a batch of Ultra CDP II LG 1911’s to us. Introduced in January of 2010, the Ultra CDP II has rosewood Crimson Trace lasergrips, a bobbed right safety to allow clearance for the laser, front strap checkering, night sights, and this is a Custom Shop model.

We have been waiting for quite some time to start receiving Kimber’s in .38 Super and 10mm. These calibers are in a pretty tight niche but we have seen growing demand for these Kimber 1911’s.

We received another shipment from Kimber today and after quite a long wait, we have the Rimfire Super back in stock. The Rimfire Super is Kimber’s top of the line .22 LR model receiving attention from the Custom Shop during production. The side of the slide also indicates that it is a Custom Shop model.
The Rimfire Super, like the Super Match will be one of the most accurate models available from Kimber. The Rimfire Super has front strap checkering, adjustable rear sights, a flat top slide, and ambidextrous thumb safety.

We have been filling some holes in our inventory in the last few weeks – some very popular models are back in stock. These models include the Gold Combat RL II – the blue version of the Gold Combat II with accessory rail.
Also available now are all three Aegis II models. The Aegis II family consists of an Ultra, Pro, and Custom – all chambered in 9mm. All the Aegis models also have night sights.
Finally, one very popular and widely sought model, the Super Match II, is back in stock. The Super Match II is one of Kimber’s most well known and highest quality 1911’s.
