Buy Kimber 1911 Pistols and Accessories

Kimber has been backed up with production for quite some time now. We’ve seen deliveries taking as long as 8 to 10 months for standard models and well over a year for more custom models (Rimfire Super and Eclipse Custom 10mm).

We’re finally seeing a lot of models that were ordered back during the first week of February. Today we’ve got the Super Carry Ultra HD in stock.

The Super Carry Ultra HD was introduced in January of 2011 as a variation on the 2010 Super Carry Ultra. The prior model is two tone and has an alloy frame while the HD version is all black and has a stainless steel frame.

The Super Carry Ultra HD has night sights (with a cocking shoulder), front strap checkering, a stainless steel frame, G-10 grips, and a KimPro II coating on the slide and frame.

I shot some photos back in February of Kimber’s two new + models – the Ultra+ CDP II (Ultra CDP II Plus) and Super Carry Ultra+ (Super Carry Ultra Plus) and for some reason, I forgot to post them.

Even though the guns aren’t available from the factory yet, they are still worth checking out. We have made recent inquiries about availability and it sounds like they’ll start shipping in the next month or two. Originally we expected to have them by now….

The big draw to the Super Carry Ultra+ and Ultra+ CDP II is the full size frame and 3″ barrel / slide combination. Both pistols are Custom Shop. There are some shooters who would love to have a full size frame but want a short slide – this meets their demands. One poster over at 1911forum.org pointed out that this design is perfect for those carrying concealed in a shoulder holster.

Update 5-28-11: We received notification today that a shipment of Ultra CDP Plus pistols left the factory and we’re expecting delivery on Tuesday. We’ll have the pistols online and available for sale that afternoon.

Update 6-1-11: The Ultra CDP II Plus is now available for sale in our store. We’ve got about a dozen photos along with specs and ordering information.

In addition to the Ultra CDP II Plus, Kimber is rolling out a Super Carry Ultra Plus.

Like the Kimber Ultra CDP II Plus, the Super Carry Ultra Plus will have a 3″ barrel / slide and full size frame / grips. It will be on display at SHOT and we’ll post updates with photos as soon as they become available.

We have started our pre-order on the Super Carry family – including the Custom, Pro, and Ultra. With the pre-order, we are allocating a total of 7 of each of the three models. The first to place an order will be the first to receive that Super Carry model when it ships.

We are offering free shipping on all Super Carry models that are pre-ordered.

Kimber is expecting to start shipping the Super Carry models between March and April of this year. We have a large order for these models and expect to be one of the first dealers to receive them. The required down payment to secure a model through the pre-order is $500 and when the guns arrive from Kimber we will contact you to make arrangements for the remaining $1,030.
